How are you?
This illustration was set out to feel like a window into someone’s safe place, to feel intimate, slightly observational and emotionally honest.
It’s often hard for people to be emotionally vulnerable and emotionally honest. To let people know the ‘bad’ feelings whether that’s worry, sadness, frustration etc. This means a lot of the time we put up a front, we say we’re okay when we may not be and we don’t allow ourselves to have room to heal and get the support we need.
All it takes is to open up the channel of communication, to let someone know they can honestly confide in you, on good and bad days!! Simply reaching out to ask someone how their day has been, how they are, but truly mean it!
If you or someone you know and love is struggling, here are just a handful of charities, all with helplines you can call or text 🩷
